We are using technology to change and improve customer experience for both customers and our waste partners. The original Kollect MVP platform was built in January 2016, with an updated version being built and released a year later. This site was built in PHP, and help us grow in size. When we started adding new business verticals we started to outgrow the technical capabilities of the existing platform. We made a decision to rebuild the site in Python, and scoped out everything that we would need and began developing. We are now migrating the code onto Ruby on Rails. We are using AWS as our hosting provider, Ruby on Rails as the Backend, React JS in the Frontend and Prismic as our headless CMS.

Making Waste Collection More Efficient
We partner with a national network of local waste businesses with overlapping coverage. Our platform allocates collections & skip deliveries to the nearest operator with capacity and uses App based technology to connect to them as they undertake the work. This helps operators use fleet more efficiently and reduces fuel miles. It also allows us to provide customers with a very reliable, compliant and cost effective waste collection service nationwide.
